Jake Shears premiere and movie expert James King reviews Coldplay’s new concert film

For the Radio 2 Culture Club, Jo chats to movie critic James King about his film choices you won’t want to miss. This week’s picks include The Three Musketeers: D’Artagnan, A Thousand and One, Missing, and Coldplay: Music of the Spheres.

Based on the 1844 Alexandre Dumas novel, The Three Musketeers: D’Artagnan is the first of a two-part series following three loyal swordsmen as they attempt to protect the crown from an evil royal advisor.

A Thousand and One tells the story of an unapologetic and fiercely loyal mother Inez, who kidnaps her son Terry from the foster care system. Together they set out to reclaim their sense of home, identity and stability.

A stand-alone sequel to the 2018 movie Searching, mystery-thriller Missing follows June in her online search to find her missing mother.

Coldplay: Music of the Spheres was recorded during the band’s sold-out ten-night run at the River Plate Stadium in Buenos Aires last October. As well as remastered sound and visuals, the film includes previously unseen footage and behind the scenes interviews.
