The team behind the Manchester-based DIY label explore their diverse releases. From the weird and wonky side of post-punk to electronic, indie pop and experimental music with a few off-label miscellaneous tracks by bands who they feel have played a pivotal role in the North’s underground music scene. Yossari Baby, Swedish Magazines, Priceless Bodies, Humint, Handle and more.
Alphaville Records is a Manchester-based DIY label founded in 2020 by music journalist and gig promoter Hayley Scott alongside two members of local post punk band Threads, - Kane Martin and George Robbins. Alphaville Records combine their expertise from the fields of graphic design and DIY gig promotion while aiming to amplify underappreciated and diverse voices from the North, fuelled by an art school sensibility and radical ethos. It is a project that rejects the corporate nostalgia of the Manctopia project by documenting the grassroots voices of dissent.
