Cerys' weekly round up of the blues you need to hear, from all around the world and in all shapes and sizes!

This week, Cerys is joined by blues guitar legend Joe Louis Walker, who's played with some of the greats - from BB King to The Rolling Stones. He tells Cerys about his new album, Weight of the World, which addresses some of Joe's feelings and emotions related to the state of the world and his relationship with blues.

Born in San Francisco in 1949, Joe picked up a guitar aged eight and in his teens quickly became a key figure on the local Bay blues scene. The CV of his career so far reads like a who's who of the blues, having performed with John Lee Hooker, Charlie Mussel White, Bonnie Raitt, Taj Mahal, opened for Muddy Walters and Thelonious Monk, hung out with Jimi Hendrix and Mississippi Fred McDowell and was Mike Bloomfield's roommate. Joe has guested on Grammy-winning records by BB King and James Cotton, his 2015 solo album Everyone Wants a Piece was also Grammy-nominated, and Joe is a member of the Blues Hall of Fame.
