Jamz takes you on a musical tour around the magical country of Colombia with her guide Luis Gonzalez. She takes you from Bogotá to Quibdó via Santa Marta and Costeño Beach.

Jamz takes you on a musical and cultural tour around the magical country of Colombia with her guide Luis Gonzalez.

It begins with record shopping in downtown Bogotá where she meets Diego Gomez of Llorona and Disco Pacifico Records.

Then it’s party time in Costeño Beach with Brian Rea and Li from Bomba Estéreo, before a trip to the Don Diego river to meet Mateo and his family at the Yumake lodge and learn about some of Colombia’s spiritual and ancestral history.

Next it’s over to Santa Marta and Barranquilla where Jamz meets Colombian pop star Lido Pimienta, bumps into her friend Busy Twist and also meets a selector AKA ‘Picotera’ Don Alirio for some lessons on Colombian Sound System Culture.

The final stop is to the Pacific city of Quibdó where Jamz learns about the Ritmo Exótico genre with one of its stars Alexis Play. She also meets author and historian Velia Vidal and finally a Colombian legend, Octavio Panesso of Grupo Saboreo.
