Exploring the use of gender neutral terms for God, new ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ 2 documentary Inside My Autistic Mind, and how we can all change polarise debates in to constructive conversations.

This week Scotland is marking its 10th year as Fair Trade Nation. Martin Rhodes of the Scottish Fair Trade Forum and Karena Jarvie from the eco-congregation team at Kinross Parish Church explain what this means, and how much has changed over the decade.

In a new two-part ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ 2 series, Inside My Autistic Mind, naturalist Chris Packham gives autistic people the chance to create films that reveal how they feel and what’s going on in their minds. Murray MacDonald, who runs the charity Autism On The Water, and Kayla-Meghan Burns, Convener of Disability Equality Scotland - who have both been diagnosed with autism - give their verdict on the powerful documentary.

As the Church of England are set to consider the use of gender-neutral terms for God, Tony discusses why monotheistic faiths often refer to God using the β€˜he’ pronoun, with Dr Lesley Orr, a feminist writer and activist, and Sydney Switzer, a Jewish educator.

In her resignation announcement First Minister Nicola Sturgeon highlighted the current polarisation that exists in political discourse. Dr Lesley Orr and mediator John Sturrock KC consider the damage this has done to public debate and how we can begin to make a shift to more constructive and open conversation.

A year ago we watched in horror as Russia launched a full scale military attack on Ukraine. At that time we were joined by Maria Morozuik, a Ukrainian descendant and mum-of-two from Edinburgh. Maria now re-joins Sunday Morning to share the impact that this last year of fighting and destruction has had on her and her family, as well as the wider community.

Have you ever felt overrun with advice when you’ve shared a personal problem with friends and family? If a friend opens up to you, is your first instinct to offer advice, or are you quite happy to sit and listen? Helping us navigate when to keep your opinions to yourself and when to offer your perspective are Suzy Beaumont, personal development consultant and Founder of Change Your World, and Dr Farbod Akhlaghi, a Junior Research Fellow in Philosophy at the University of Cambridge.
