British Science Week (10th - 19th March) is a ten day celebration run by the British Science Association. This year highlights a new campaign called 'Smashing Stereotypes', a collection of stories that challenge long-standing stereotypes in STEM. The aim is to encourage more young people, from all backgrounds, to see themselves as scientists.

Joining Adam, from the School of Chemistry at Cardiff University, we hear from Dr Michael Pascoe, who explains the importance of self belief.

Director of Science at Climate X, Dr Claire Burke, discusses opportunities for women in STEM and brings her knowledge of how things work in space back down to Earth.

Engineer, Pearce Jarrett, talks about his experience of dyslexia and introduces his award-winning AI-powered personal training app.

Product Designer, Pete Barr, discusses the need for accessible, beautifully designed devices to support people with disabilities.

And Flight Systems Engineer, Krystina Pearson-Rampeearee, creates accessories to promote diversity in engineering.
