Six of Scotland's finest young traditional musicians compete for the title of Â鶹ԼÅÄ Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician 2023 live from the City Halls in Glasgow. The finalist include singer Aidan Moodie from Orkney, small pipes player Ailis Sutherland from Kirriemuir in Angus, Gaelic singer Mairi McGillivray from Islay, accordionist Sam Mabbett, originally from Oxfordshire and Madeleine Stewart, fiddler from New England, both now resident in Glasgow and pianist Amy Laurensen from Shetland.
The competition will feature an expert Jury including presenter of Pipeline Gary West, fiddler Adam Sutherland, singer Fiona Hunter, percussionist Mark Maguire and fiddler, composer Anna Stevenson.
