Actor, comedian and writer Omid Djalili joins Ken this week to choose his Tracks of My Years.
Born in London to Iranian parents, Omid studied English and Theatre Studies before first achieving success in stand-up at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 1995.
Omid went on to be nominated for the Perrier Award for Best Comedian, helping him to become a familiar face on television. He’s guest presented Have I Got News for You and hosted his own programme The Omid Djalili Show, which aired on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ One in 2007.
Omid has also been hugely successful as an actor, starring in films including Gladiator, The Mummy, Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again, and recently as Sir Fantumar in Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ drama His Dark Materials.
Omid’s just released a new podcast series called Please Tell Me A Story, which brings together six comedians with one story to tell.
Omid's next two tracks are from Soul II Soul and Faith Evans.
Ken's got another round of the legendary PopMaster music quiz and your dedications with today's Love Song. There's also the Record and Album of the Week. If you want to contact the show, just email ken.bruce@bbc.co.uk.
