Dame Arlene Phillips and Cariad Lloyd
Rev Kate and Jason talk to one of Britain’s leading directors and choreographers Arlene Phillips and are also joined by actor and comedian Cariad Lloyd.
Reverend Kate Bottley and Jason Mohammad present heart-warming stories about life, love and modern spirituality, alongside a great soundtrack for your Sunday morning.
Director and choreographer Arlene Phillips will be telling Kate and Jason all about The Cher Show, which she is directing, as well as sharing stories of her life as one of Britain’s leading directors and choreographers, behind musical mega brands including Saturday Night Fever, Starlight Express, Grease and We Will Rock You.
Arlene was a founding member of 1970s dance group Hot Gossip, and went on to choreograph for music legends including Freddie Mercury, Whitney Houston and Diana Ross, and for Hollywood. Her time as lead judge on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ One’s Strictly Come Dancing cemented her as one of Britain’s most recognisable entertainment legends, a status recognised with a CBE for services to dance.
Actor, comedian and writer Cariad Lloyd also joins to discuss her book, You Are Not Alone, in which she reflects on her own grief and the grief of others she has spoken to over the years. From comedians, writers, actors and producers to end of life doulas, grief psychotherapists and palliative care consultants. Cariad is also the creator and host of the award-wining podcast Griefcast, where she talks to people about their experiences of grief and death. Past guests have included Adam Buxton, Aisling Bea, Sara Pascoe, Isabel Allende, Fleur East, Monty Don and Nish Kumar.
