From The Swingle Singers to Charlie Byrd.

Popular Irish singer and guitarist Val Doonican shares his castaway choices with Roy Plomley.

Val hosted numerous TV series for the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ from 1965 to 1986, pulling in over 17 million viewers

He was also rarely out of the UK charts in the 1960s and '70s with songs like Walk Tall and Elusive Butterfly.

Val died aged 88 in 2015.
