Opening a new season of broadcasts from the New York Met: the stage premiere of The Hours by Kevin Puts, starring Joyce DiDonato, Kelli O'Hara and Renée Fleming. Puts's fourth opera, based on the novel by Michael Cunningham which was adapted into the 2002 Oscar-winning film The Hours, was first heard concert in Philadelphia in March this year, conducted by the New York Metropolitan Opera's Music Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin - who now brings it to one of the world's biggest stages.
