Seonaid Aitken is joined by freshly crowned winner of ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ Young Jazz Musician 2022, Edinburgh born bassist Ewan Hastie. We’ll hear about his early days playing with the Fife Youth Jazz Orchestra, gaining valuable touring experience with NYOS Jazz Orchestra, plus we’ll hear Ewan’s winning set from the ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ Young Jazz Musician final. Also on the show, music from some of this year’s jazz Grammy nominees and Richard Michael opens another chapter of his Song Book.
