Rebecca NÃ Dhonnaile
Cuairt ar Cúnamh i nDoire a fhaigheann maoiniú Children In Need, Féile Sound of Belfast le Caoimhe O’Connell agus Charlie Hanlon.
Tá Caoimhe O’Connell, Oifigeach Óige le Oh Yeah, agus Charlie Hanlon, réalta óg ceoil as Dún Phádraig, linn le labhairt faoin fhéile Sound of Belfast, faoi ghradaim NI Music Prize na hoÃche aréir agus faoi Volume Control – ceolchoirm san Ionad Oh Yeah ina mbeidh Charlie féin ag seinm.
Buaileann Niamh Nic OistigÃn isteach ar Cúnamh, tionscnamh meabhairshláinte i gcathair Dhoire a théann i ngleic le tráma iar-choimhlinte idirghlúine. Ar na cláir phobail atá acu, tá seirbhÃs ar leith, maoinithe ag Â鶹ԼÅÄ Children in Need, a thugann tacaÃocht do dhaoine óga ag streachailt le neamhord itheacháin agus fadhbanna meabhairshláinte eile, agus labhraÃonn Niamh le duine óg amháin a bhain tairbhe as an tseirbhÃs sin.
Rebecca meets Caoimhe O'Connell, Youth Engagement Officer at the Oh Yeah Centre, and rising star Charlie Hanlon from Downpatrick, to chat about the Sound of Belfast event and last night’s NI Music Prize.
Niamh Nic OistigÃn reports from Cúnamh, a mental health project in Derry addressing the intergenerational effects of post-conflict trauma. Amongst their services is a support programme, funded by Â鶹ԼÅÄ Children In Need, for young people struggling with eating disorders and other mental health issues, and Niamh meets a young person who has benefitted directly from that programme.
