Cerys Matthews, Ever Dundas and Call Jane film review

Kim Winston on Strictly, Scottish Music Awards, Cerys Matthews, Ever Dundas and Call Jane film review.

Janice will be catching up on all the Strictly gossip from this weekend with the official Strictly podcast producer and co-host Kim Winston.

The Scottish Music Awards took place on Saturday night so we speak to one of the winners.

Janice announces the Afternoon Show’s new Single of the Week which comes from an artist from the Isle of Lewis whose debut single stacked up more than 400,000 streams last year without any backing or push from a record label.

Catatonia’s Cerys Matthews discusses her life-long love of Dylan Thomas and her new illustrated adaptation of Under Milk Wood which is published this month.

Janice speaks to queer disabled writer Ever Dundas, winner of the Saltire First Book Award, about her second novel Hell Sans which takes a satirical swipe at the way disabled people are treated and marginalised in society.

Film critics Ross McLean and Jane Graham review Call Jane, which follows the story of a housewife who is overjoyed with the news of her pregnancy until she learns it poses a threat to her own life and state laws mean she can’t get a legal abortion.
