Bake Off BFFs go head to head

Baking buddies David Atherton and Michael Chakraverty test their friendship with the Speed Mates challenge ahead of this year's Great British Bake Off final.

Putting baking buddies David Atherton and Michael Chakraverty to the test, to see how well they really know each other in Speed Mates.

David won the Great British Bake Off in 2019, while his friend and fellow contestant Michael made it through seven weeks of the competition the same year. The pair now host a podcast about the programme.

Scott will quiz each of them on their fellow baker, as well as getting their take on this year's competition ahead of the final.

Speed Mates is a test of two colleagues' commitment to their workplace bestie - whether you sit next to each other in the office, speak on the phone every day or deliver milk together in the mornings. If you want to play with your workmate, email scott.mills@bbc.co.uk.
