4 Extra Debut. From Hubert Parry to Earl Okin. Designer Anya Hindmarch shares her castaway choices with Kirsty Young. From 2012

From Hubert Parry to Earl Okin.

Famous for luxury handbags and novel accessories, designer and businesswoman Anya Hindmarch shares her castaway choices with Kirsty Young.

Given her first designer handbag by her mother at 16, Anya knew where her future lay.

At 18 she went to Florence to immerse herself in the Italian style, and ended up in the world of Florentine leather. This inspired her to create her own leather duffel bag.

Over the years, Anya has also been keen to create and market 'eco' bags. Her personal life is as busy as her professional life. She met and subsequently married an older widower when she was 25. He had three children aged under 5 and they've since added a further two to the clan.
