More Highlights From the Northern Meeting

Gary West introduces more highlights from this year’s Northern Meeting Piping Contest

Gary West introduces more highlights from this year’s Northern Meeting piping competition held in the Eden Court Theatre, Inverness in early September, with contributions from Bruce Gandy, Angus D MacColl and Ben Duncan. And in the week in which we mourn our late monarch, Queen Elizabeth, Gary chats to a former holder of the position of Piper to the Sovereign, Pipe Major Scott Methven, who spent four years piping for her every morning, as well as performing at many formal functions across the world. Scott chats about her fondness for the music of the bagpipe, her depth of knowledge, and her favourite players and tunes.
