The CoBrig Society

A special edition of the show where Marcus Brigstocke is put in charge - of Covid. What did we get right, how has society changed, and are there any of those baked potatoes left?

A one-off special edition of the show where Marcus Brigstocke is put in charge of things – and this time, it's Covid. How has society changed, how should we prepare for the future, and are there any of those baked potatoes left?

Helping him tear the mask off the whole subject and then realising that's probably a bad expression under the circumstances are Margaret Cabourn-Smith (β€œJohn Finnemore's Souvenir Programme”), William Andrews (β€œSorry I’ve Got No Head”) and Rufus Jones (β€œPaddington”, "ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ")

Written by Marcus Brigstocke, Jeremy Salsby, Toby Davies, Nick Doody, Katie Storey, Dan Tetsell and ZoΓ« Tomalin

Produced by David Tyler

The Brig Society began the first of its four series to date in 2013, following on from Marcus's long stint as the backpacking idiot Giles Wemmbley Hogg. Each week, Marcus would be put in charge of something – Housing, Farming, Diplomacy, Exams, the NHS – and each week he'd start out by thinking β€œWell, it can’t be that difficult, surely?” and end up with β€œOh - it’s utterly difficult and I’ve made a complete fist of it...”

The show won the 2014 Writers' Guild Award and a Silver at the New York International Programme awards
