Maiden Voyage - Rachel Duns Quintet In Session

Seonaid Aitken has a live session from saxophonist Rachel Duns, a graduate of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and Rising Star award winner at the Scottish Jazz Awards.

Seonaid Aitken has a live session from saxophonist Rachel Duns and her quintet. Rachel recently graduated from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in Glasgow and is also a previous winner of the Rising Star award at the Scottish Jazz Awards. In addition to playing saxophone, we also get the chance to hear Rachel sing and play flute on tonight's session. Her band members include Kenny Lyons (drums), Sean Morrison (keys), Chris Quinn ( electric bass) and Kyle Hood on guitar. Plus Seonaid takes a musical trip 'doon the watter' with pianist Richard Michael and performs a duet of Herbie Hancock's Maiden Voyage as part of tonight's Song Book.
