Roxy Music's innovative guitarist, Phil Manzanera, chooses his Rock God, plus Johnnie celebrates a pioneering all-girl rock band for 'This Week In Rock'.
Phil Manzanera is one of the coolest guitarists... who else could have carried off those bug-eye shades with such style?
His red Gibson Firebird made him stand out from the crowd as guitarist for Roxy Music in the 70s and the music he created with it made him a serious innovator of sound.
He's back with Roxy for a 50th anniversary tour, but he's also recorded a new album with Tim Finn, called 'The Ghost Of Santiago'.
Phil's Rock God is a fantastic one and the story surrounding his reasons why are truly unique.
