Archie Madekwe on acting and feeling free

Arlo shares songs that have soundtracked her recent travels, from Duster to Shabaka. She also conducts a cultural conversation with her friend, the Midsommar actor Archie Madekwe.

Step into Arlo’s inner world for an hour of music and musings on creativity, comfort and inspiration. She’s called it Dream Fuel - a scrapbook in sound of her favourite tracks, poems, personal voice notes, field recordings and special guests.

In this episode Arlo is joined by her friend, the London actor Archie Madekwe, whose credits include the eerie film Midsommar, the Channel 4 comedy Fresh Meat, or the Apple TV series See. Together, Arlo and Archie swap some songs that are special to them, and discuss subjects including rugs, musical tattoos, and how to find freedom while practising your art.

Plus Arlo shares the music that has soundtracked her recent travels, from Duster to Shabaka.

Arlo Parks is a London born singer-songwriter and poet, who came onto the music scene back in 2019. Her debut album, Collapsed in Sunbeams, won the 2021 Mercury Prize, and in the same year she won Best New Artist at the Brit Awards.
