Puccini's Turandot from the Met

Puccini’s Turandot, conducted by Marco Armiliato, with Liudmyla Monastyrska as Turandot, Yonghoon Lee as CalΓ f, Ermonela Jaho as LiΓΉ and Ferruccio Furlanetto as Timur.

Puccini's final masterpiece is both modern and romantic, a classic of 20th-century opera. Liudmyla Monastyrska performs the title role of the proud princess of ancient China, whose riddles doom every suitor who seeks her hand. She appears opposite Yonghoon Lee, who as CalΓ f the brave prince, sings β€œNessun dorma” and wins her love. Ermonela Jaho sings the role of LiΓΉ, the faithful slave girl. Marco Armiliato conducts the Chorus and Orchestra of the Metropolitan Opera House.
