Feis Dhoire 100 bliain ar an fhód, Ionad ADAPT DCU agus an intleacht shaorga
Tá Feis Dhoire Cholm Cille ag ceiliúradh 100 bliain ar an fhód i mbliana. Cluinimid ó Mhícheál Piarais Ó Ceallaigh atá i mbun na comórtais sa rannóg An Teanga a reáchtáil, ó Mary Nic an Ailín lena cuimhní cinn féin ar an Fheis, agus ó triúr páistí i nGaelscoil Éadain Mhóir agus iad ag ullmhú le bheith ar an ardán le linn na Feise. Chomh maith leis sin, cluinimid ó Jane O’Connor, Cúntóir Taighde san Ionad ADAPT in Ollscoil Chathair Bhaile Átha Cliath faoi dhomhan úr na hintleachta saorga agus na háiseanna ar mhaith leo go mbeadh fáil ag cainteoirí Gaeilge orthu.
As the Derry Feis celebrates its 100th birthday this year, we hear from Mícheál Piarais Ó Ceallaigh who is involved in the Irish language element of the competition, from principal of Gaelscoil Éadain Mhóir, Mary Nic an Ailín, with her memories of the Feis as a Derry Girl, and from three of her school’s pupils as they prepare for their performance. Also, we hear from Jane O’Connor from the ADAPT Centre in DCU, who is part of a research team aiming to connect the Irish language with the cutting edge of artificial intelligence.
