Ed Sheeran performs live at Maida Vale accompanied by the Â鶹ԼÅÄ Concert Orchestra for Radio 2's Piano Room Month. The global megastar completes an incredible four weeks of live music - the first in a decade for the station.
Since his comeback in June 2021, Ed has sat a-top the charts worldwide, and in the UK he spent 15 weeks at No.1 with his singles, ‘Bad Habits’ and ‘Shivers’. Moreover with the help of his recent single releases, he achieved another milestone in the UK becoming the first British Solo Artist to claim 52 weeks – a full year – at No.1 on the Official UK Singles Chart, with only Elvis Presley and The Beatles achieving more overall weeks at the top.
His latest album '=' (Equals) includes his chart-toppers 'Bad Habits' and 'Shivers' with the third single 'Overpass Graffiti' following closely behind.
Ed will embark on the first leg of his ‘+ - = ÷ x Tour’ - ‘The Mathematics Tour’ - from April 2022, which will see him play across the UK, Ireland, Scandinavia and Central Europe.
Radio 2 delivered live music to listeners throughout the lockdown with House Music sessions - launched in 2020 - featuring some of the biggest names in music, including Rag N Bone Man, Barry Manilow, Melanie C, Cliff Richard, Ronan Keating, Travis, Aloe Blacc and Nell Bryden, with many accompanied remotely by the Â鶹ԼÅÄ Concert Orchestra.
