The Blessed Madonna pays tribute to the iconic producer and performer SOPHIE, following the artist’s tragic death a year ago, aged just 34.

A self-taught musician, SOPHIE’s sound was innovative; capturing a vast range of sonics and emotions, and pioneering a new era of modern music that became known as hyperpop. The artist was able to operate both at the experimental fringes of dance music and the centre of pop, collaborating with the likes of Madonna, Charli XCX and Vince Staples.

SOPHIE’s 2018 album β€œOil of Every Pearl’s Un-Insides,” was Grammy nominated, propelling SOPHIE to stardom as an artist who embraced an authentic commercial sound.
