Fraggles Round Friday!
It's Fraggles Round Friday with Red and Boober from Fraggle Rock and Kiefer Sutherland talks to Zoe about his third album Bloor Street.
Zoe talks to actor, singer and director Kiefer Sutherland about his latest album Bloor Street. It's Kiefer’s third album and follows on from his 2016 debut Down In A Hole and his 2019 follow-up Reckless & Me. The title is a nod to his time growing up in Canada as Bloor Street is in the heart of downtown Toronto and is famous for its shops and restaurants. Kiefer is of course best known for playing Jack Bauer in the series 24, for which he won an Emmy Award, a Golden Globe Award, two Screen Actors Guild Awards, and two Satellite Awards. He's also starred in numerous films including The Lost Boys, Young Guns and A Time to Kill.
Plus Red and Boober from Fraggle Rock stop by for a chat with Zoe. Red, Boober and all gang are back together for a special reboot called Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock which is available to watch on Apple TV+.
Along with Adam Porter on news, Richie Anderson on travel and Mike Williams on sport, Zoe and the team have the best start to your morning.
There's also a Pause For Thought from Paul Kerensa, and your calls, texts, emails and voicenotes as Zoe entertains the nation.

Pause For Thought
In my church, occasionally, there’s a little drama sketch in the Sunday service – to help illustrate the talk or topic of the day. So a week or two ago, my children were asked to help. My eight- and eleven-year-old, up front, in a Sunday service. But the week before, I realised my kids weren’t to be bit-parts in this church-based skit – they were it! Tasked with writing, rehearsing, performing, using puppets, whatever they wanted to illustrate that Sunday’s Bible reading. Just them! Complete... free... rein...
Ìý
I was nervous. No offence to my eight- and eleven-year-old – butÌýIÌýwouldn’t have trusted them with 5mins of church time. That’s prime real estate, in front of the vicar! They could say ANYTHING! Thankfully I’m not in charge. ButÌýtheyÌýwould be, for five minutes at least. What’s the worst that could happen? I suppose this is where I say how disastrously wrong it went, but sorry, they did grand. And I’m not showing off – because whisper it, my kids aren’t special. Thousands of children could and would seize those chances, if given them. In many places of worship, children are sent out to groups halfway through a service: exiled to far corners of the building for fun, games and some learning. Actually I heard of a church that does the opposite – they send the adults out, and keep the children in church! It’s their building too.
Ìý
Whatever the location, I think that matters – saying to young folks, this is your place. You belong. So often in our lives, our homes, diaries and social activities, we send children elsewhere. I do it myself. But I’m grateful, for when trust is shown in the next generation. Elevate them, show them they’re valued, and sure enough... My eight-year-old’s practising her puppeteering. My eleven-year-old is somehow now the church band sound technician. Again,ÌýIÌýwouldn’t trust him with that kit. But perhaps I should do what that leader did when he gave the children that freedom: Have faith. Stop focusing on what could go wrong. And realise the worth in giving people a chance. So if you’re visiting my church some time... enjoy the puppets, and the child sound technician – and grown-ups, remember: you could be sent out at any time.
