Virtuoso brass musician James Morrison returns for a new series of the brassiest show on the airwaves, proving that brass music is alive and well, in a massive variety of styles and traditions. Tonight’s selection includes recordings from Oompah Brass, Snarky Puppy, Melba Liston, the Vienna Brass Connection, and a 6-tuba feature from Howard Johnson and Gravity. The late, great Stephen Sondheim is represented in a beautiful solo trombone arrangement, alongside covers of Taylor Swift, Shaggy and Stevie Wonder. Plus, a brass version of retro computer game theme, and original music from Japan, and Brazil.
