The gap between what CEO's get paid and what their workers get paid is wider than it's ever been. Top bosses in the States now earn in excess of $15m a year - a sum the vast majority will never earn in their entire lifetimes. The disparity has been bought into sharp focus by the pandemic, with many low paid workers seeing the biggest financial impact. But is this all about Chief Exec pay being too high or everyone else's pay being too low? We discuss that with one top boss who introduced a $70,000 minimum salary for all of his workers and a Senior Economist at Glassdoor.
