Champions League PopMaster Grand Final
The two top quizzers of the year go head to head in the grand final of Champions League PopMaster. Who will be crowned champion of 2021 and take home that coveted trophy?
In Ken's last show of the year two top quizzers go head to head in the grand final of Champions League PopMaster. Who will be crowned champion of 2021 and take home that coveted trophy?
Rock Legend Robert Plant chooses his final Tracks of My Years with Ken. In November the former Led Zeppelin frontman together with 27-time Grammy winner Alison Krauss released their new album Raise The Roof reuniting the two after some fourteen years. It follows the historic success of their first collaboration Raisin' Sand which reached number 2 on the Official UK Chart, generated multi-platinum sales and earned six Grammy Awards including Album and Record of the Year.
This latest album features twelve new recordings of songs by legends and unsung heroes including Merle Haggard, Allen Toussaint, The Everly Brothers, Anne Briggs, Geeshie Wiley, Bert Jansch and more. Other highlights include a Plant-Burnett original, β€High and Lonesome,β€ and the classic β€Can’t Let Go,β€ written by Randy Weeks and first recorded by Lucinda Williams.
Robert will be going on tour with Alison next year - dates and times to be announced very soon. The final two tracks he has chosen come from Alison Krauss and Nathaniel Rateliff.
Ken also has the daily love song, record and album of the week. If you'd like to get in touch with the show email Ken.Bruce@bbc.co.uk.
