Robert Plant

Rock Legend Robert Plant chooses his Tracks Of My Years and discusses his latest album, the second with Alison Krauss, called Raise The Roof.

Rock Legend Robert Plant chooses the Tracks of My Years all week with Ken. In November the former Led Zeppelin frontman together with 27-time Grammy winner Alison Krauss released their new album Raise The Roof reuniting the two after some fourteen years. It follows the historic success of their first collaboration Raisin' Sand which reached number 2 on the Official UK Chart, generated multi-platinum sales and earned six Grammy Awards including Album and Record of the Year.

This latest album features twelve new recordings of songs by legends and unsung heroes including Merle Haggard, Allen Toussaint, The Everly Brothers, Anne Briggs, Geeshie Wiley, Bert Jansch and more. Other highlights include a Plant-Burnett original, β€œHigh and Lonesome,” and the classic β€œCan’t Let Go,” written by Randy Weeks and first recorded by Lucinda Williams.

Robert will be going on tour with Alison next year - dates and times to be announced very soon. The first two tracks he has chosen come from The Rolling Stones and Cilla Black.
