Christmas Celebration from St Davids
A joyous celebration of Christmas from St David's Cathedral, Pembrokeshire, bringing to a close Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio Wales Celebration's residency there this Advent and Christmas.
This Advent and Christmas, Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio Wales' Celebration is in residence at St David's Cathedral, Pembrokeshire.
The series of services, in which we've heard from the community in and around the Cathedral, come to a joyous conclusion with a grand Christmas Day service drawing together the voices we've met during the month and combining the best-loved traditions with reflection on contemporary issues. There's a message about refugees given from the lifeboat station, a reflection on the birth of Christ given from a cattle stall by a cleric originally from Nazareth, and a bishop on a beach with a beachcomber talking about our responsibility towards the environment.
Music - including a feast of christmas carols - is provided by the Cathedral Choir and Cathedral Singers; speakers include the Dean of St Davids Sarah Rowland Jones and the Bishop of St Davids Joanna Penberthy.
