Episode 18
Musicians Gareth Malone and YolanDa Brown join David Harper and Raj Bisram for some antique shopping in Scotland, buying a rare green pig and releasing a puffin chick into the wild.
Choirmaster extraordinaire Gareth Malone and world-renowned saxophonist YolanDa Brown visit Edinburgh and Fife. This pitch-perfect duo is gunning around town in a 1960s motor, each with Β£400 to buy antiques that will hopefully ring up some big profits at auction. Regular Road Trippers David Harper and Raj Bisram are joining the band ready to advise.
Among the items of note are some novelty sugar tongs and a Native American drum. But will a rare green pig bring home the bacon?
Gareth makes time for a musical interlude as he learns about Scotland’s oldest national instrument, the clarsach, while thrill seeker Yolanda is island-bound on the Firth of Forth as she tries to spot a puffin or two on the Isle of May.
They may be great buddies, but it’s time to face the music on auction day.
