It’s been the worst year in a decade for deaths in the fishing industry. 10 people have been killed in 8 separate accidents at sea, according to the Marine Accident Investigation Branch, compared with just 2 the year before.
As the Scottish Government works to hammer out the details of a future farm payments policy, we hear from one farmer who wants a radical re-think.
And the number of fly-tipping incidents dealt with by local authorities in England has gone up…again. Figures published by DEFRA show more than a million incidents were recorded in the year from April 2020 to March 2021 - an increase of 16% on the year before.
