Before you gift smart gadgets this Christmas, you might want to check the security settings. The Mozilla Foundation in the US publishes an annual guide reviewing the security of products such as home cameras, doorbells, smart TVs and speakers. The report, 'Privacy Not Included' reviewed 151 gadgets and issued warnings about 50 of them. We'll hear about some of the issues to watch out for, and tips for keeping your tech secure.

Bookseller James Daunt was the founder of Daunt Books, and became known as 'the man who saved Waterstones'. In 2019 he became the CEO of American bookshop chain Barnes & Noble, after it was purchased by Waterstones' parent company. We'll talk to him about his plans for turning around the US chain and his comparisons between the US and UK book markets.

New research has found that planning permission has been granted for over 5,000 new homes on flood plains this year. Researchers at the think tank Localis looked at the twelve local authorities in England at the highest risk of flooding, and found that the majority of those new homes will be built on land at high risk of flooding - known as flood zone three. The research was commissioned by LV General Insurance.
