Cel Spellman and finding hope at COP26
Actor and activist Cel Spellman joins Kate and Jason live from Glasgow, where young people from around the world are working hard to have their voices heard on climate action.
This morning, as the world leaders and their teams continue to negotiate global action at the UN Climate Change Conference in Glasgow, Kate and Jason chat to more activists doing everything they can to make a difference.
We've been meeting Climate Champions, people inspired by their faith to fight for our planet, from young Hindu educators in schools, to those turning Sikh Gurdwaras plastic-free, and a peace-loving Jain pilgrim in Wales, whose family have just been awarded a ‘Greenest Family’ award. This morning Rev Kate Bottley and Jason Mohammad meet Canon Imogen Nay from Chelmsford Cathedral. She tells them how they won a Gold Eco-Church award, by doing away with disposable cups and plates and installing motion sensor lighting. Plus how to encourage a whole congregation to go green, and how her faith guides her eco activism.
And the actor and climate and nature activist Cel Spellman joins Kate and Jason live from COP26. Cel tells Kate and Jason what progress he’s hoping to see and how young people from around the world are working hard to have their voices heard. Plus Cel explains how a new project from Â鶹ԼÅÄ Bitesize, The Regenerators, can help children find out information about what changes they do to make a difference.
