South Asian culture has a rich and influential history, birthing and continuing to produce many of the world鈥檚 finest examples of music, food, film, fashion and more. As a community however, it seems to have been consistently underrepresented in Western media and culture; the music industry included.

It feels like the South Asian electronic music scene is having a real moment in the UK, with DJ collectives, club nights, festivals and radio shows, all run by people of South Asian heritage, garnering a lot of attention.

The Blessed Madonna is joined by journalist, DJ and radio host Safi Bugel a.k.a. babysch枚n, to shed some light on the scene鈥檚 history, heritage and future.
