Sisters Étáin and Máire Nà Churraoin, from the Ráth Chairn Gaeltacht in County Meath, sing together as An Chéad Ghlúin Eile. They chat to Caoimhe about their passion for music, the language, and the Gaeltacht, and spill the beans over which sister has brought home more silverware over the years at the Oireachtas na Samhna singing competitions. They also give us a beautiful performance recorded exclusively for Â鶹ԼÅÄ Gaeilge. Children’s book Cluasa Capaill ar an RÃ, winner of this year’s Gradam Réics Carló at the Oireachtas publishing awards, gets a big thumbs up from the Ó Donnghaile family reviewers – Dáithà (10), MéidhbhÃn (7) and Eilidh (5) along with Daddy, Fiachra. We hear from Donncha Ó Murchú, winner of this year’s Réalta Óg award, in an interview recorded at the Gradaim Chumarsáide media awards. And we get a preview of Friday’s special Oireachtas na Samhna edition of Blas Ceoil.
