Natalie Imbruglia and Album Of The Week

Singer and actor Natalie Imbruglia chooses her Tracks Of My Years all this week, plus Ken's got another round of PopMaster. There's another play of the Record and Album Of The Week

Singer and actor Natalie Imbruglia chooses her Tracks Of My Years all this week.

A former star of the soap opera 'Neighbours', Natalie took the pop world by storm in 1997 with her breakthrough single 'Torn', becoming one of THE faces of the late nineties. Nearly a quarter of a century later Natalie's releasing 'Firebird', her first album of original material since 2009 and her sixth overall. It was written in an array of international locations, but in contrast, the album was almost entirely recorded in lockdown. It also features a bevy of collaborations, including artists such as Albert Hammond Jr of The Strokes, Romeo Stodart of The Magic Numbers, and KT Tunstall.

Away from music Natalie has continued to act since her music breakthrough, most notably appearing alongside Rowan Atkinson in 'Johnny English', alongside a number of indie films and theatre productions

Growing up the second of four daughters to a Sicilian father and an Aussie mother, Natalie always knew she wanted to be an entertainer. She was 16 when she first appeared on Neighbours in 1992 playing surfer girl Beth Brennan. The job took her to Melbourne, 10 hours from home, and after a year, she travelled even further, to the UK, to appear in panto in Canterbury. She decided to stay, and she now lives in Oxfordshire.

Natalie's next two tracks come from Whitney Houston and Michael Jackson.

Plus Ken's got another round of the legendary PopMaster music quiz and your dedications with today's love song. There's also the record and album of the week.
