Xochimoki, the duo of ethnomusicologist Jim Berenholz and Aztec descendant / wisdom keeper Mazatl Galindo, deliver a 60 minute playlist of traditional Mesoamerican music. This playlist is unique in that almost all the tracks included have been created using the ancient instruments of the indigenous cultures of Mexico and Central America. Xochimoki's songs are sung in Pre-Columbian Central and South American languages, including Nahuatl, Maya, Purepecha and Quechua. And much of their music was written at ancient ceremonial sites, in rituals and meditations, in communion with the spirits that rest there.
