Hundreds of pigs have already been culled. This is down to a lack of butchers in processing plants which means they’re taking fewer pigs. The National Pig Association says 120,000 extra animals remain on farms, and farmers are running out of space. They say a cull is a last resort, and if pigs have to be shot on the farm they’re then have to incinerated as they’re not allowed into the food chain. We hear from Scottish farmers.
All this week we're looking at the wine industry in the UK. As the climate changes vineyards are having to plan differently for the future. One South Devon winery is tackling this by planting acres of a red grape varietal that they think will be a safer bet.
