Cynthia Erivo's Final Tracks Of My Years

Acclaimed actor and singer Cynthia Erivo picks her final two Tracks Of My Years. Plus there's the final play from the Album and Record Of The Week, and the week's final PopMaster.

Emmy, Grammy and Tony-winning actor and singer Cynthia Erivo picks her final two Tracks Of My Years.

Also a double Oscar nominee, the acclaimed theatre and big screen performer who's been described as "the entertainment industry’s #1 choice as a triple threat.", Cynthia has been praised for roles in Hollywood blockbuster films such as β€Harrietβ€ and β€Bad Times at the El Royaleβ€, along with Broadway roles including the main character Celie in the stage version of 'The Color Purple'.

Although she grew up in South London, it's been America who's embraced Cynthia more so far, with 'Chewing Gum' being one of her few British screen credits. She has, however, worked with acclaimed British director Steve McQueen on his film adaptation of 'Widows', one of her highest profile movie roles to date.

Cynthia has just released her debut album of original music as a recording artist. 'Ch. 1 Vs. 1', which has been described as "a 12-track journey into her mental and emotional landscapeβ€”one marked by heartbreak and sadness, but also triumph and growth". Cynthia co-wrote every track on the album, including 'The Good', which was Radio 2-playlisted earlier this year.

The last two tracks Cynthia has chosen come from Mary J. Blige and Sting. Plus Ken's got the week's final round of the legendary PopMaster music quiz; your dedications with today's love song, and there's also the final play from the record and album of the week.
