Northern Meetings Past

Gary West brings you standout performances from past Northern Meeting piping contests as well as top drawer music from the pipe band and bagpipe-led trad scenes.

Gary West brings you some standout performances from past Northern Meeting piping contests, with sets from Bruce Gandy, Callum Beaumont and Alasdair Henderson, while the St Lawrence O'Toole pipe band treat us to a rousing performance recorded live at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall. There's uillean piping from the William Kennedy festival in Armagh, upbeat bagpipe-led trad sets from Ross Miller and James Harper, and a ballad first published over two centuries ago sung by Fiona Hunter featuring Iain MacInnes on smallpipes.
