Peter Holder, organ
Peter Holder pays tribute to centenary composer Saint-SaΓ«ns in a programme that recreates elements of the composerβs legendary performances on the Royal Albert Hall organ in the opening season of 1871 and in 1880. His wide-ranging programme includes Lisztβs largest organ work, written for the βpiano melodiumβ (an organβpiano hybrid), and the opening movement from the most celebrated of French master Widorβs 10 symphonies for organ.
