Ricky explores some of the alt-country artists and songs that played a part in the No Depression movement and the acts who inspired it. He's also in conversation with singer-songwriter Jay Farrar from his home in St Louis, Missouri. Jay, one of the founding members of bands Uncle Tupelo and now Son Volt, reveals the records that inspired his sound and shares the themes behind his album, Electro Melodier.
