Merrill Garbus of Tune-Yards takes Rob Crossan on a musical and cultural tour of Lisbon, her favourite travel destination. Merrill remembers 24 hours in the Portuguese capital, a day she ranks as one of the best of her life. She also brings along music from Am谩lia Rodrigues and Tune-Yards collaborator, DJ Marfox. Merrill and her partner Nate Brenner have released five albums as Tune-Yards, with the most recent, Sketchy, released in March this year. Whilst maintaining the bands signature lo-fi sound and pop creativity, the new album also finds them embracing a live, brassy sound.
