Celebrating Louis Armstrong

Cerys marks 120 years since the birth of the great Louis Armstrong. We also pay tribute to ZZ Top bassist, Dusty Hill.

Cerys marks 120 years since the birth of the great Louis Armstrong. It’s a festive bonanza featuring some lovely archive, clips from an upcoming restored DVD release, and of course, music from the great man himself. We also spin some newly released live recordings from the Montreux Jazz Festival, and pay tribute to ZZ Top bassist, Dusty Hill.

From cutting edge contemporary sounds to scratchy old vinyl from the past, whether it’s from Memphis, Mali, or Manchester, no stone is left unturned in the search for the best of the blues. With live guest sessions and interviews, alongside blues voices from the archives.
