Music Planet brings the WOMAD experience into the studio for a second day of live sets by some of the artists who would have been playing at the festival this weekend, including Egyptian-born Australian oud virtuoso Joseph Tawadros, Japanese vocalist Hatis Noit, who draws on everything from Gagaku and opera to Bulgarian and Gregorian chant, and Elaha Soroor & Kefaya, a new take on Afghan folk with influences from jazz, dub and electronica.
