Tim Vine joins Ken Bruce

Award winning comedian Tim Vine chooses his Tracks of My Years and reveals why Elvis Presley is his favourite artist.

Tim Vine, award winning comedian, actor, writer and presenter known for his one-liner jokes and his role in the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ's 'Not Going Out', chooses the Tracks of My Years. Born in Cheam, Surrey, Tim has performed in numerous sell-out shows in the UK and beyond. His six stand up DVDs include the latest tour 'Sunset Milk Idiot' which came out at Christmas 2018. His vast wealth of material has been preserved in books such as 'The Biggest Ever Tim Vine Joke Book' and the 'Tim Vine Bumper Book of Silliness'. He has also won Best Joke at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe twice. Recently he has been seen on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ1 in 'Tim Vine Travels Through Time', on ITV hosting the quiz 'Football Genius' and on Dave in 'Taskmaster'. He hosts 'The Tim Vine Chat Show' on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio 4 and his Youtube channel 'Tim Vine Televisual' serves up nonsense every week.

Following a one-off sell-out show at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2019, Tim is bringing back 'Plastic Elvis'. Backed by the popular five piece High Noon Band he will be belting out some of the King's greatest hits - something he's been doing since he was a child. With special guests John Archer as Big Buddy Holly and song writing legend David Martin who wrote four songs for the real Elvis. Tim says this is a tribute act that is forty years in the making and now it's time to go public. Come September he will be taking it on tour starting at The Orchard Theatre in Dartford, reaching London's Eventim Apollo at Christmas and culminating at the Swansea Grand Theatre in February next year.
