2004: Nicola Benedetti's Prizewinning Performance
Nicola Benedetti's plays Szymanowski's thrilling First Violin Concerto, the performance that, at the age of 16, won her the title of Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Young Musician in 2004.
In 2004, 16-year-old violinist Nicola Benedetti won Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Young Musician of the Year. This is her winning recital at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama from the semi-final stage of the competition. Playing works by Saint-Saens, Janacek and Judith Bingham on a 1751 Guarnerius violin, Nicola also had to cope with a faulty chin rest.
