Cat Deaths; Clothes Repairs; Escooters
Cat deaths and the concerns over possible links to some cat food products.
Hundreds of cats have died from a rare condition called Feline Pancytopenia and there is concern that there are links to some types of dry cat food made for Applaws, Sainsbury’s and AVA. We hear from two pet owners about what happened to their cats and Dr Karen Humm from the Royal Veterinary College explains why they think diet could be the cause.
You can find the full details of the cat food products which have been recalled here: https://www.food.gov.uk/news-alerts/alert/fsa-prin-36-2021-update-1
As attitudes toward "make-do-and-mend" shift we hear from one woman who's developed an App offering a fast door-to-door clothes repair service. Josephine Philips tells Winifred Robinson about why she started her Sojo App.
And why are so many people buying escooters when they remain illegal to ride on public roads? One woman who was fined for riding hers tells us why she took the risk and we discuss whether or not it's time to give escooters the green light.
